You will pay the cost of the animal as well as the harvest fee and butchering fee to us. We will pay the butcher.
A whole cow yields about 500lbs after harvest.
Once the weight of the beef is determined, you’ll receive an invoice for the remainder due.
Your balance (deposit will be applied to the total) will be due at the time of beef pick up.
How it Works
Once your order is placed, we can give you a better idea of when to expect your beef. We harvest our beef at 20-24 months of age when the live weight is about 1000 pounds. How beefy they are depends on the changing seasons. If it is too hot, they tend to not eat as much, which means they gain less.
When adequate weight is reached, the steer will be harvested. It typically takes a month to process the beef and deliver it to you. Most butchers hang the meat for 14-21 days and then make their cuts.
If requested, we will provide you with a cut sheet for half or whole orders, otherwise the butcher will cut and divide equally.
It is then wrapped and vacuum sealed and ready for pickup/delivery.

You need ample amount of freezer space to store your order.
